INDIANA UNIVERSITY IS INCREASING COOPERATION WITH UNIVERSITIES OF UZBEKISTAN

During the visit to Uzbekistan, a representative of Indiana University (USA) met with the leadership of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

Gulnisa Nazarova, Head of the Department of Central Asian Studies at Indiana University, met with the leadership of the University of World Languages, headed by Rector I. Tukhtasinov.

At the meeting, the parties agreed on bilateral cooperation in the field of teaching Uzbek language and literature, the creation of a joint database of educational literature, manuals, as well as electronic resources, the opening and support of the Uzbek Language Center, assistance in establishing cooperation with U.S. universities where the Uzbek language is taught, the organization of summer schools for students of Indiana University, etc.
