‘MSC RESEARCH METHODS’ A NEWLY VALIDATED POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMME

MSc Research Methods is a newly validated post-graduate programme, offered to Bachelor and Master graduates who either want to pursue a PhD programme or wish to work in the industry as research analysts. The programme is especially designed to build and enhance the research skills and competencies of students in social sciences. Applicants from other areas (e.g. information technology, engineering, humanities etc.) are also welcome to join as they will be accommodated with customized approaches.

MSc Research Methods will provide its graduates with a comprehensive set of knowledge and skills to address current issues in academic research with immediate application either in Uzbekistan or in the student’s chosen research domain. The programme focuses on deepening the understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, primary data collection and analysis, ability to critically evaluate various research designs and choose the most suitable one to address the particular research question.

The programme is designed to facilitate simultaneous progress on three pillars:

1. Training on hard skills for research;
2. Developing soft and transferable skills, and
3. Mastering acquired in-class knowledge through practice.
