THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “CONFUCIUS INSTITUTES AND INTERCIVILIZATIONAL MUTUAL EDUCATION” WAS HELD

The delegation headed by Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji, accompanied by Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Norbayeva, visited the Uzbek-Chinese Confucius Institute at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

The guests took part in the opening of the International Conference on “Confucius Institutes and Intercivilizational Mutual Education”, organized in honor of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of this educational institution.

The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, representatives of various government and educational institutions of Central Asian countries, as well as experts and scientists in the field of Chinese studies and international relations.

The speakers emphasized that every step in the development of bilateral relations in the educational, scientific, cultural and humanitarian spheres is important for strengthening friendship between the two peoples. It was also noted that the Confucius Institute established in Tashkent is an example of how cooperation between China and Uzbekistan is based on trusting and friendly relations.
