THE ISSUE OF ESTABLISHING COOPERATION WITH UNIVERSITIES IN JAPAN WAS DISCUSSED
July 22, 2024Minister of Science and Innovation of Higher Education Kongratbayi Sharipov received a Japanese delegation headed by Governor of Gifu Prefecture Furuta Hajime.
During the meeting, the parties noted that strong cooperation has been established between the universities of Uzbekistan and Japan, and further development of ties in this direction is necessary.
Uzbek professors regularly undergo internships and advanced training courses in Japan. Currently, Japanese is taught in 6 universities in the country as the main field of study, as well as as the first and second foreign languages.
The meeting discussed the issue of establishing cooperation with Japanese universities to train highly qualified personnel for such industries as transport, mechanical engineering, architecture and construction, geology, innovative technologies, metallurgy, energy, and renewable energy technologies that contribute to rapid industrial development.
