THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DISCUSSED ISSUES OF BILATERAL RELATIONS

On September 19, as part of the events of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the United States of America Joseph Biden.

Topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional interaction were considered. The US President reaffirmed strong support for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the course of irreversible reforms in New Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was paid to the promotion of practical cooperation projects with leading American companies and banks.

The results of the bilateral meetings with the business community and the business forum held on the eve of the visit of our head of state to the United States were noted with satisfaction.

Special attention is paid to the continuation of constructive interaction in the field of human rights and gender equality.
