At the initiative of the Ministry of higher and secondary specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Elsevier company, foreign experts on the inclusion of journals of higher educational institutions among the prestigious scientific journals of the world are invited within the framework of the national development program “Science 2020”.

In particular, on October 3-4, 2019, with the participation of a group of leading foreign experts, a training on “Creating a Unique Platform Convenient for Editors and Listeners” of 41 scientific journals of higher educational institutions of the Republic with the use of free configurations, including journals of higher educational institutions included in the number of prestigious scientific journals began its work.

The training is conducted by Vinci Elizabeth, Vice President for consulting of Elsevier scientific journals, Rogers Stephanie, Bepress team leader, Aliya Ospanova, Elsevier Regional Director for Central Asia, and Andrey Loktev, a leading expert on the company’s research findings.

The state program for the implementation of the “Year of active investment and social development”, approved by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, defines the tasks to ensure the gradual inclusion of national scientific journals in international scientific and technical databases, such as Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct.

During the training seminar, it is planned to complete the practical work on the full uploading of the content of scientific journals on the Digital Commons portal (, based on the required criteria.
