541 YEARS SINCE THE BIRTH OF THE GREAT POET, SCIENTIST AND STATESMAN ZAHIRIDDIN BABUR

Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was born in Andijan on February 14, 1483. The fifth generation of Amir Temur, son of Umarsheikh, ruler of Ferghana.

Babur is a major representative of Uzbek classical literature: a great poet; historian, geographer; statesman, talented commander; founder of the Baburi dynasty, Prince Timuridov.

Dozens of works by Babur, gazelles and rubai are considered a huge treasure that occupies a large place in the history of Uzbek poetry.

Babur is an immortal example for today’s generation as a man and a creator.

Babur ascended the throne at the age of 12 (1494). He occupied Afghanistan in 1503-1504. In 1519-1525, he made 5 trips to India. He founded the kingdom of Babur.

He died on December 26, 1530 in Agra, India. Later, his grave was moved to Kabul according to his will.
