Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis and description of some aspects of the book “Az and Ya” by an outstanding poet, historian, philosopher, diplomat, human scientist — Olzhas Omarovich Suleimenov. It is based on recent scientific discussions of the present book, publications on its contents, linguistic and historical value.
The article regardless from the ideology of a work performed by a researcher independently of an official science in a linguistic, poetical, historical and philosophical plans. The book was published in 1975 in Almaty. After the publication, it was later banned, and was removed from the libraries. The author was accused of nationalism and panTurkism. The Slavic-Turkic or Turkic-Slavic component in the content of the great Slavic ancient written monument “The Word of Igor’s Campaign” (“Word”) was not officially recognized, i.e. denied.
It was believed that it (“Word”) did not or could not contain Turkisms, despite the fact that the close relationship between the Slavs and the Polovtsy (Kipchak Turks) was a well-known fact in history. The existence of Slavic-Turkic and Turkic-Slavic bilingualism during the creation of the “Word” was quite evident. The article analyzes and describes the researchers on O.O. Suleimenov’s works, published in the last decade on the issues of his scientific interpretation about the presence of Turkic vocabulary in the above-mentioned monument and giving it a special delight to the great poem.
The book gave rise to the gene of disobedience and the gene of justice, which together reflect the real ideological and scientific and historical situation during the period of writing the present book, publication and discussion in the passages of ideological and scientific-historical condition. ite evident.
