ADMISSION TO ONE-YEAR MASTER DEGREE PROGRAM “TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (TESL)” RUN BY UZBEKISTAN STATE WORLD LANGUAGES UNIVERSITY JOINTLY WITH WEBSTER UNIVERSITY OF THE USA.
Candidates should submit the following documents:
- An academic IELTS score of 6.0 or higher or TOEFL with paper based score of 533 or above (72 on the Internet based test). Those who didn’t yet receive IELTS certificates, can take online ESL tests, which will be organized jointly with Webster University in June 2019. This test includes an essay on the given topic consisting of 300-400 words as well. For tests candidates pay US $ 20-30.
- Notarized copy of Bachelor’s degree diploma and annex to it with comparable GPA of 2.5. or above (average grade of 65 for students coming from Uzbekistan).
- One-page teaching philosophy statement describing the teaching philosophy.
- Two recommendation letters
- CV or Resume
- Copy of the passport
- 4 photos, size 3,5×4.5
- Paper holder

The tuition fee US $ 4 000 is paid in national currency – sums, in two installments. No stipend is paid.
Successful graduates of the program will be awarded a diploma and TESL Certificate of Webster University (USA).

I just want to inquire if we can obtain a Master Degree diploma which gives us an opportunity to work at Universities in Uzbekistan after we graduate the Webster University. I actually live on abroad and have been planning to get my master degree in the country where I was born. However, I’m wondering whether we can get a real Master degree diploma or just a TEFL/TESL certificate which we can even get online as well. Thanks a lot for your incoming response!
