CHRISTINE SMART WILL HOLD WORKSHOPS FOR THE TEACHERS OF UZSWLU AND SAMSIFL

Today, on May 20, 2019 representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan visited Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

During the visit, Kirsten Michener, Attaché on culture and education of U.S. Embassy, Feruz Akobirov, cultural advisor of the Embassy, as well as Christine Smart, Academic Advisor, University of Arkansas met with the rector of UzSWLU prof. G. Rakhimov.

The sides discussed various issues on teaching of English; applying and participation in grants by the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Department of State. But main purpose of the visit was aimed at discussion of issues on the organization of workshops on methods of teaching English to the faculty of Uzbekistan State World Languages University as well as Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages by Christine Smart, an expert in English, University of Arkansas, USA.

The workshops will be organized from 21-24 of May at Uzbekistan State World Languages University and 27-28 of May at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages.
