The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan met with the head of the delegation of the European Union, Ambassador Charlotte Adrian.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the framework of the implementation of educational programs in our country for Afghan citizens, especially young men and girls.

Attention was paid to the need to continue providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people facing difficult socio-economic conditions.

Charlotte Adrian noted the EU’s readiness to continue close cooperation with Uzbekistan on the Afghan problem, as well as on issues of ensuring regional security.
