On January 28, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired an online meeting on the development of school education.
The head of our state stressed that the development of schools is a priority. It was emphasized that improving the performance of schools should be the task not only of the Ministry of Public Education, but also of all ministries and departments, hokimiyats, scientific organizations, the intelligentsia, and the general public as a whole.
The meeting noted problems and topical issues in the field of public education.
Also, the meeting identified priority tasks in the development of school education.
In the next five years, 1.2 million student places must be created. The head of state gave instructions to increase the capacity of the school system through the construction of new schools and additional educational buildings in existing schools.
