NOBEL LAUREATE AZIZ SANJAR LABORATORY OPENED

A laboratory named after Nobel laureate Aziz Sanjar has opened at Samarkand State University.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Academician Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, Nobel Prize winner Professor Aziz Sanjar, Deputy Hokim of the region Khurshid Ochilov, Rector of Samarkand State University, Professor Rustam Kholmurodov, scientists and students.

The speakers recognized the contribution of the Nobel Prize laureate in chemistry, a professor at the University of North Carolina, USA Aziz Sanjar to the development of science not only in Uzbekistan but also around the world.

The audience got acquainted with the capabilities of the laboratory and the equipment provided for student practice.

Professor Aziz Sanjar also talked with university students and expressed his opinion on the role of science in the life of Uzbekistan and the ongoing reforms in the education system of Uzbekistan. During the conversation, the scientist also gave life advice to young people.
