The Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the specialized boarding school No. 2 in the city of Andijan.

Currently, an indoor hall for four thousand spectators has been built, where it will be possible to hold competitions in several sports. In particular, some matches of the World mini-football Championship will be held here this autumn.

The boarding school has more than 60 educational and computer classes, foreign language classrooms, and laboratories. There is also a dormitory with 222 beds, a dining room and a gym equipped with the latest technology.

The President talked to the teachers here. It was said about the importance of linking high school programs with university programs, spending more time on practical exercises, avoiding repetition and cramming in the classroom. The necessity of forming a new atmosphere of education, upbringing and spirituality in schools is emphasized.

Also, the Head of state visited the Universal Sports Complex under construction in Andijan.

The large sports complex will also have a swimming pool, a cafe and a restaurant. Conditions will be created for schools of excellence of famous athletes. The training program will be implemented in cooperation with sports federations and higher educational institutions.
