THE GRAND OPENING OF THE NEW BUILDING OF THE UZBEK-CHINESE INSTITUTE OF CONFUCIUS TOOK PLACE

The new building of the Uzbek-Chinese Confucius Institute at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has been officially opened.

The event was attended by Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbai Sharipov, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun, as well as a team of university faculty and students.

Today, more than 500 Confucius Institutes operate in more than 150 countries around the world. The main purpose of these institutes is to teach the Chinese language and get acquainted with Chinese culture and traditions.
