THE II FORUM OF RECTORS OF UNIVERSITIES OF UZBEKISTAN AND TAJIKISTAN IS TAKING PLACE

Today, on April 15, 2024, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan is hosting the II Forum of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan at Tashkent State University of Economics.

It is planned that about 100 heads of higher education institutions of the two countries, responsible persons of ministries and departments will take part in the conference on the theme “2030: Priority Directions for the Development of Higher Education and Science in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan”.

The International Conference “2030: Priorities for the Development of Higher Education and Science in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan” was opened by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbai Sharipov with his opening speech.

K. Sharipov:
– There are more than 100 interuniversity Agreements and Memorandum of cooperation between universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan, there is a constant academic exchange in order to participate in scientific and practical forums and seminars held in both countries, lecture and practical classes, advanced training, research, training and internships, etc. I believe that this forum will contribute to even more productive cooperation between our countries in the field of higher education, science and innovation.

Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahim Saidzoda noted:

– Today, Uzbek-Tajik relations have been widely developed in many areas.
Natural conditions have been created for the further development of relations in the field of higher education and science. Within the framework of cooperation in this area, we will bring relations between higher education institutions to a new qualitative level, and practical actions to improve the quality of education will become one of our main goals.

It is expected that about 30 cooperation agreements will be reached within the framework of the forum.
