THE OLYMPIAD IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES HAS STARTED

The Olympiad in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic among students of higher educational institutions of the republic has started at Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

The opening ceremony of the Olympiad was attended by Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbai Sharipov, who congratulated all participants on the achievement of the republican stage.

– I am sure that this Olympiad will allow students studying in higher educational institutions of our republic to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities in the field of foreign languages, realize their talents, provide comprehensive support to talented youth, adequately reward them, – said the minister.

After that, the rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, made a report on the significance of the Olympiad and preparations for its holding and wished all participants good luck.

Scientists and teachers also took part in the event. After the opening, the participants went to the competition. In this year’s competition, about 100 students are testing their knowledge of 9 foreign languages.

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbai Sharipov, together with the rector of the university and guests, inspected new facilities that have recently started their activities in UZSWLU. In particular, they visited the University Mall shopping center and got acquainted with the products with the university logo. A Pottery center “Kulolman” at the university was created to attract young people to entrepreneurship. The guests also visited the Edusmart studio, which has the most modern equipment, and the museum, whose activities are dedicated to the 75th anniversary of UZSWLU.
