THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN AWARDED THE HIGHEST CIS AWARD FOR STRENGTHENING MULTIFACETED COOPERATION

In accordance with the program of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a solemn ceremony was held to present the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the highest award of the Organization – the CIS Badge of Honor for outstanding contribution to strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness, and multifaceted cooperation.

It should be noted that in the last few years, Uzbekistan has intensified its participation in the activities of the Commonwealth.

Our country has joined the work of 24 sectoral cooperation bodies, fully participating in the activities of 65 CIS structures.

During this period, the President of Uzbekistan has put forward about 70 initiatives in many important areas. Most of them, thanks to the support of the member countries of the Commonwealth, have been put into practice.
