THE UNIVERSITY OF SOKA (JAPAN) HONORED THE MEMORY OF ALISHER NAVOI

On the occasion of the 582nd anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Alisher Navoi Monument located at Soka University, Tokyo.

In a solemn atmosphere, wreaths were laid at the foot of the monument to Alisher Navoi, erected in 2004 on the territory of Soka University.

At the event, it was noted with satisfaction that the rich and colorful work of Alisher Navoi occupies an important place not only in Uzbek literature but also in world literature and that today in Japan the study of the works and personality of Navoi continues rapidly.
