The 583rd anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi was widely celebrated in Japan. In particular, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the foot of the Navoi Monument, located on the territory of Tokyo Soka University.
The monument to Alisher Navoi, erected on the territory of the university in 2004, has become a kind of symbol of the cultural dialogue between the Uzbek and Japanese peoples connected by the historical Great Silk Road.
At the meeting with the Rector of Suzuki Masashi University, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed and an agreement was reached on the active development of close cooperation.
