Dear Mr. President

I want to wish you and the people of Uzbekistan a peaceful, joyous, and prosperous  Navro’z. As we work together to support a negotiated settlement that ends the war and secures a stable and diplomatic solution in Afghanistan. Navro’z is a critical reminder of the importance of peace.

This year marks 30 years of Uzbekistan’s independence. In recent years, you have undertaken significant reforms, and my Administration looks forward to working with your country to continue this progress. We also look forward to continuing the C5+1 process that began under Secretary Kerry’s leadership five years ago.

 I extend my best wishes to you and the people of Uzbekistan on this new year and new spring.
