A CONFERENCE ON THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING WAS HELD

On May 29, a student scientific and practical conference titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Language Learning” was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University at the initiative of the Department of Integrated English Course–3.

The event brought together university leadership, international partners, faculty members, talented students, and representatives of other departments and faculties.

The conference opened with a welcome speech by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Otabek Yusupov. The Head of the “Integrated English Course–3” Department, Polatjon Khabitovich Omonov, spoke about the goals and significance of the event.

Following the plenary session, the conference continued in three thematic sections:

  • Modern Programs and Applications in Foreign Language Learning
  • Online Tools for Language Study and Their Advantages
  • Digital Technologies as a Means of Intercultural Communication

Students presented analytical reports on the benefits, challenges, and future prospects of using artificial intelligence technologies in language education. Discussions highlighted the effectiveness and capabilities of digital tools such as ChatGPT, Duolingo, Grammarly, and Google Translate.

At the end of the event, the most active participants and authors of the best presentations were awarded certificates and honorary diplomas by the organizers.
