A meeting was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University with a representative of the Brazilian delegation, Victor Born Portella, the official responsible for Uzbekistan at the Embassy of Brazil in Moscow.

The visit took place within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the United Nations.

During the meeting, a number of issues were discussed, including:

-expanding cooperation with higher education institutions in Brazil, particularly in the following areas:

-organizing exchange programs for students, professors, and doctoral candidates;

-conducting professional development courses and internships for teachers of Portuguese and other foreign languages;

-organizing international conferences, seminars, and webinars;

-the issue of inviting a Portuguese language instructor to Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU).

The meeting also included an exchange of views on organizing Uzbek and Russian language courses for Brazilian citizens, involving them in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, as well as creating summer educational programs for Brazilian students.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, during which both sides put forward important proposals regarding the prospects for further cooperation.
