A PRESENTATION OF UZBEKISTAN’S TOURISM POTENTIAL WAS HELD IN SWEDEN
February 21, 2025The delegation of the Committee on Tourism took part in the cultural and educational evening “Samarkand – a masterpiece of the Silk Road”, which was held in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
The event was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Sweden and the National University of Uzbekistan.


According to the press service of the Tourism Committee, a presentation on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held during the event.
The large-scale reforms achieved in recent years and future plans are described in detail in this area, including the prospects for increasing the tourist flow from Sweden and other countries of the Scandinavian region around it. The unsurpassed place of Samarkand in the development of tourism was also noted.
B2G and B2B negotiations were also held with representatives of several local tour operators and companies specializing in tourism promotion. Relevant agreements have been reached to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas of tourism development.


A concert program consisting of national melodies and dances, the country’s richest cultural heritage, samples of applied arts and crafts, as well as an exhibition demonstrating the gastronomic potential were presented.
