AN OPEN LECTURE WAS ORGANIZED FOR STUDENTS OF YANGI ASR UNIVERSITY

As part of the implementation of the directive on conducting open events at external educational institutions, an off-site lecture was organized on October 10, 2025, at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, which hosts the internet portal and scientific-methodological journal “O‘zbekistonda xorijiy tillar” (Foreign Languages in Uzbekistan).

The event was organized by Associate Professor N. N. Shchitka from the Department of Languages and was held for third-year students of group R-101-23 and fourth-year students of group R-101-22, majoring in Philology and Language Teaching (Russian Language) at Yangi Asr University.

During the session, participants familiarized themselves with the practical application of the principles studied in their academic courses, including Uzbek Literature in the Global Context, Sociolinguistics, and General Linguistics. The students were introduced to the prospects for the development of modern philology, emphasizing its dynamism and the importance of integrating advanced scientific and practical achievements aimed at improving methodological approaches to foreign language teaching.

Getting acquainted with the activities of the journal allowed the participants to understand the role of academic publications in forming a unified research space that integrates the experience of teachers and researchers in the field of foreign language studies and education.

The discussion of the editorial structure helped the students gain insight into the diverse professional paths available to philology graduates, opening up career opportunities related to publishing in specialized academic journals.
