The prestigious international higher education agency QS Quacquarelli Symonds has released the results of the QS Sustainability Rankings 2026.

This ranking covers nearly two thousand universities worldwide, and 9 higher education institutions of Uzbekistan have been included, with three of them placing among the Top 1000.

Several universities improved their positions compared to last year, while some were included in the ranking for the first time.

Positions of Uzbekistan’s universities in the ranking:

• National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers” — 874th place;

• Tashkent State University of Economics — 951st place;

• National University of Uzbekistan — 970th place;

• The remaining six universities placed in the 1501+ group: Andijan State University, Samarkand State University, Tashkent State Technical University, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and Urgench State University.
