A delegation from the University of Cambridge visited the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU).

During the visit, Xien Lu, Programme Director for Cambridge University projects in Uzbekistan, Project Manager Renata Mjoxa-Rives, and Financial Manager Hazem Aldubush met with UzSWLU Rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov and members of the university administration.

The program included discussions on the following key areas:
– Introducing international certification systems such as CELTA, TKT, and DELTA into the national education system;
– Adapting methodological materials to the local context;
– Strategically planning to elevate teaching methodology to international standards;
– Organizing joint professional development courses and exchange programs.

In addition, the sides held negotiations on creating a joint certification system with Cambridge, implementing dual-degree or modular assessment systems, exploring the infrastructure of the retraining center, and identifying potential areas for future cooperation.

At the conclusion of the visit, both parties agreed on practical proposals to further expand bilateral collaboration.
