COOPERATION AREAS DISCUSSED BETWEEN UZSWLU AND THE CHINESE DELEGATION

On May 15, a meeting was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) with representatives of the specialized foreign language school of Sanya, People’s Republic of China.

The meeting was attended by the school’s Chairperson Helen Ma, Chair of the Board Alice Liu, Director Mark Xing, Director of the Registrar’s Office Ashley Lei, and representatives of the International Department Ying Chenwei and Liu Tian.

Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov provided the guests with detailed information about the university’s activities, its international partnerships, and the Chinese language teaching system in place at the institution.

As part of the visit, a video presentation about UzSWLU was shown to the guests, followed by a detailed presentation on the admission process, requirements, and university study conditions.

During the discussions, the parties considered organizing internships for UzSWLU students in China, launching faculty exchange programs, and arranging winter and summer school programs for students of the Chinese institution. Relevant agreements were reached on these initiatives.

Additionally, Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov proposed starting the cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding, followed by individual agreements for each collaboration area.
