A meeting was held in Ankara between the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kungratbay Sharipov, and the Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Turkey, Erol Özvar.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the support of the Turkish side is crucial in addressing practical aspects of the project to establish the International University of Turkic States, attracting academic staff, and utilizing electronic educational resources.

In addition, the initiative to open a branch of the Yunus Emre Institute Cultural Center at the Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature was discussed, with special emphasis placed on its role in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further expand cooperation in higher education and science and to effectively implement joint projects.
