COOPERATION WITH MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITIES EXPANDS

A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Otabek Makhkamov visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from January 20 to 24.

During the trip, the delegation members held a number of important meetings and discussed many initiatives aimed at further strengthening innovative development and international cooperation in Uzbekistan.

In particular, the delegation visited the MRANTI (Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation), a large Malaysian organization engaged in the development of innovative technologies.

During the visit, they got acquainted with the agency’s activities and discussed the opening of the agency’s office in the INNO Innovative Educational and Industrial Technopark of Uzbekistan, technology transfer and organization of training seminars. The possibilities of organizing a Malaysian technology exhibition and strengthening scientific and technical ties between the two countries were also discussed.

The issue of establishing close cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Malaysia was also discussed at the meeting held at the Mara University of Technology (UiTM) of Malaysia.

During the visit, an agreement was also reached to sign a Roadmap between the Muhammad al-Khorezmi Tashkent University of Information Technology and the Mara University of Technology (UiTM) to expand bilateral cooperation, which is planned to be implemented during the 2025-2026 academic year.
