A delegation led by Professor Ma Xian, Director of the Institute of Cultural Heritage at Northwest University of China, visited Termiz State University.
During the visit, the two universities discussed effective use of the archaeological laboratory within the Scientific Research Center, equipping it with necessary special equipment, and expanding scientific and practical cooperation.


Key areas of collaboration discussed included:
• Organizing international conferences on topics such as “Archaeological Research Along the Ancient Silk Road: Historical Monuments and Their Conservation”;
• Focusing on training specialists through scientific internships and grant programs;
• Establishing academic exchange of professors and lecturers;
• Launching a 2+2 joint education program starting from 2026.
It was noted that the upcoming Second Uzbekistan–China Interregional Forum, scheduled for June 1–2 in Samarkand, will serve as a favorable platform for discussions between the rectors of Termiz State University and Northwest University of China on a range of mutually beneficial proposals.
