DIGITAL EDUCATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE | DIALOGUE AND EXPERIENCE SHARING AMONG RECTORS
December 13, 2025The Rectors’ Forum on the Application and Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Education is currently underway at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


The forum brings together more than 200 heads of higher education institutions from across the country, leading sector experts, as well as local and international specialists.
The event aims to ensure the comprehensive integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the national higher education system, enhance the effectiveness of educational processes, and accelerate digital transformation.
The forum was opened with keynote remarks by Hilola Umarova, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Kungratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The speakers emphasized that introducing artificial intelligence into higher education, ensuring its effective use, and developing a national model are of strategic importance in today’s context.




Hilola Umarova noted that, within the new stage of reforms initiated by the President in the fields of higher education, science, and innovation, artificial intelligence has been identified as a priority area. She highlighted that leading universities around the world widely use artificial intelligence to improve educational efficiency, analyze students’ learning activities, personalize the learning process, and ensure academic integrity.
Minister Kungirotboy Sharipov emphasized the need to transform universities into centers of knowledge, expertise, and scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence. To this end, he underlined the importance of establishing AI research laboratories in higher education institutions, expanding specialized centers and international scientific cooperation, increasing the number of joint educational programs and research grants, and broadening opportunities for young researchers and students to develop intellectual models focused on practical solutions to real-world challenges.
