A solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence for the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and invited him to the honorary platform.

The national flags of the two countries were raised, and a guard of honor was lined up. A military orchestra performed the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The leaders walked past the guard of honor and greeted members of the official delegations.

Following a joint photo session, negotiations between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan began.
