INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ADDRESSES ISSUES IN COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS
May 20, 2025On May 20, the Faculty of Eastern Philology at Uzbekistan State World Languages University organized an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “Computational Linguistics: Problems and Solutions.”

The event was held in collaboration with several prestigious higher education institutions, including Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, the University of Sussex (United Kingdom), Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, Adyghe State University, and Southern Federal University.
The conference was opened by the university’s rector, Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov, who spoke about current issues in modern linguistics, recent scientific achievements, and future directions in the field.





During the plenary session, both international and local scholars — professors, lecturers, and researchers — delivered presentations on a range of relevant topics. These included artificial intelligence, digital linguistics, computational linguistics, knowledge graphs, the morphological analyzer of the Uzbek language, and the use of interactive platforms in teaching foreign languages.
The event was also held online via the Zoom platform and was open to the wider public.


As part of the conference, breakout sessions were conducted, where participants engaged in academic discussions on the following areas:
- Teaching foreign languages using digital and information technologies;
- Practical applications of interactive tools in online education;
- Integration of artificial intelligence and linguistics.
The outcomes of the conference are expected to inspire new ideas and research initiatives in the field and help strengthen professional collaboration among experts.
