INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE TÜRKÜNİB ASSEMBLY

At Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, an international scientific-practical conference titled “Descendants of Alp Er Tunga – the Karakhanids: The Turkic World and the Islamic World during the Karakhanid Era” has begun within the framework of the Assembly of the Turkic Universities Union (TÜRKÜNİB).

This prestigious event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Organization of Turkic States, Tashkent International University, and the National Media Association of Uzbekistan.

The conference aims to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation among Turkic peoples, promote shared history, culture, religion, language, and literature worldwide, and popularize the historical and cultural heritage of the Karakhanid period.

The opening ceremony featured speeches by Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Rayev, President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Gulchehra Rikhsieva, and Head of the National Media Association of Uzbekistan Sherzodkhon Qudratkhoja.

The conference continues its work in five sections: history and public administration, science and culture, Turkic Islamic civilization, language and literature, and the study of Yusuf Khos Khajib’s works.
