ISSUES OF COOPERATION BETWEEN UZBEKISTAN AND RUSSIA IN HIGHER EDUCATION AND SCIENCE DISCUSSED

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Kungratbay Sharipov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Aleksey Yerxov, during which the prospects for bilateral cooperation in education and science were discussed.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in higher education, science, and innovation is multifaceted and steadily developing.

Today, this cooperation has a strong legal and contractual framework and continues to expand consistently in practice.

The growing academic mobility and increasing interest of Uzbek students in studying at Russian higher education institutions were also noted.

In addition, the discussion focused on improving the quality of education, aligning joint educational programs with labor market demands, and further developing the activities of branches of Russian universities.
