PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN ATTENDS THE SECOND “CENTRAL ASIA – RUSSIA” SUMMIT
October 10, 2025On October 9, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the second “Central Asia – Russia” summit held in Dushanbe.

The event was chaired by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon. The summit was also attended by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The agenda of the meeting included discussions on further strengthening multilateral partnership, expanding cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as addressing pressing issues of international and regional politics.
At the beginning of his speech, the Head of State expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his commitment to developing a broad strategic partnership with Central Asia and supported his initiatives aimed at giving new momentum to cooperation among our naturally allied countries.
“The Russian Federation has always been, remains, and will continue to be an important and priority strategic partner and ally for us. Our shared history, centuries-old ties, the cultural and ideological affinity of our peoples, and the friendly and trusting relations between our countries form a solid and lasting foundation for such cooperation,” – emphasized Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
