A solemn ceremony dedicated to Teacher and Mentor Day was held in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.

At the beginning of his speech, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated all educators who have devoted their lives to the noble mission of teaching and raising the younger generation, expressing deep respect and appreciation for their work.

According to the Presidential decree of September 11 this year, a group of education system employees who demonstrated exemplary service were awarded honorary titles, orders, and medals. Among them were generous entrepreneurs who built schools with their own funds, as well as foreign partners contributing to the introduction of advanced achievements in education.

During the ceremony, these awards were solemnly presented.

– I award honorary titles, orders, and medals to many representatives of various fields. But I always look forward with great anticipation to the day when teachers are honored. May the orders and medals that adorn your chest be blessed. May there be more dedicated teachers in our country worthy of such high recognition, – said the President.

Recently, winners of the inventors’ competition in nine categories were awarded electric cars. The second-place winners will be sent on internships abroad, while those in third place received cash prizes.

It was announced that such competitions will now also be held in every field of higher education, both among teachers and students.

It was emphasized that in cooperation with foreign universities ranked in the TOP-500, higher education institutions will launch joint educational programs in priority areas such as information technology, artificial intelligence, agrotechnology, medicine, and “green” energy. Branches of universities included in the TOP-100 will also be established.
