PROSPECTS FOR MUTUAL COOPERATION WITH A KOREAN UNIVERSITY DISCUSSED

Representatives of Sunchon National University (Republic of Korea) visited the Uzbekistan State World Languages University. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation further.

The two sides agreed to launch a “2+2” undergraduate program, under which students will study the first two years at UzSWLU and the following two years in Korea. In addition, the Korean side responded positively to the proposal of Rector Ilhomjon Tuxtasinov to implement a joint “1+1” master’s program. These programs are planned to be introduced starting from the 2026/2027 academic year.

Furthermore, Seo Kang-Sok, Head of the University’s International Relations and Education Department, proposed strengthening cooperation within the framework of KOICA projects and developing new joint initiatives. This proposal was supported by the UzSWLU leadership.
