REPRESENTATIVES OF A CHINESE UNIVERSITY VISITED TERMEZ STATE UNIVERSITY

A delegation led by Professor Ma Xian, Director of the Institute of Cultural Heritage at Northwest University of China, visited Termez State University.

The parties discussed the effective use of the archaeological laboratory at the Research Center, equipping it with specialized equipment, and the further development of scientific and practical cooperation.

The following areas of collaboration were reviewed:

• Hosting joint international conferences on topics such as “Archaeological Research along the Silk Road: Historical Monuments and Their Conservation”;
• Training specialists in laboratory research through scientific internships and grants;
• Organizing academic exchange programs for faculty members;
• Launching a joint educational program based on the 2+2 model starting in 2026.

It was noted that the upcoming Second Uzbek-Chinese Interregional Forum, to be held on June 1–2 in Samarkand, will provide a convenient platform for negotiations between the rectors of Termez State University and Northwest University of China on numerous mutually beneficial initiatives.
