On August 31, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with his spouse, attended the informal events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held at the Meijiang Congress Center in Tianjin.

The events were attended by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, heads of government from Egypt, Cambodia, Nepal, and Armenia, as well as United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

The President of Uzbekistan and his spouse were warmly welcomed by President Xi Jinping of China and his spouse.
Following this, the foreign leaders attended a concert program dedicated to the SCO Summit in Tianjin.
