STRATEGIC INITIATIVES PRESENTED AT THE “CENTRAL ASIA – CHINA” SUMMIT
June 17, 2025On June 17, 2025, the second “Central Asia – China” summit was held in Astana. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed key initiatives aimed at strengthening trade, economic, investment, and technological cooperation with China, including the creation of a “Digital Silk Road” platform and the development of industrial and logistical infrastructure.

Major projects such as the “China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan” railway, energy cooperation, digital trade, and the development of a startup ecosystem were discussed. Particular attention was given to the need for enhanced regional cooperation to ensure stability in Afghanistan.
At the conclusion of the summit, the parties endorsed the Astana Declaration and agreed to implement new joint projects.
