STUDENTS FROM UZBEKISTAN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE III UNIVERSIADE OF TURKIC STATES

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the III Universiade of Turkic States will be held on September 3–9 in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.

Sports delegations from five countries will take part in the competitions, competing in five Olympic and two non-Olympic sports.

The sports delegation of Uzbekistan is represented by 80 student-athletes who will compete in seven sports: chess, futsal, volleyball, table tennis, judo, freestyle wrestling, and Greco-Roman wrestling.

For reference: At the II Universiade of Turkic States, held on November 5–10, 2023, in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, the Uzbek delegation won a total of 36 medals (15 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze), securing first place in the overall team ranking.
