THE PRESSETT TRAINING HAS STARTED ITS WORK

The PRESSETT training was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The main purpose of the training is to consolidate teacher professional development and in-depth study of reflexive practices and their implementation in the educational process.

More than 160 teaching staff of universities of the republic took part in the training.

The rector of UZSWLU, Prof. Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, and the director of the British Council office in Uzbekistan, Denise Waddingham, delivered opening remarks.

The following issues were discussed during the training:

1) The concept of CPD and reflexive practices;
2) Methodical sample of the lesson and its analysis;
3) Reflection in language lessons;
4) Reflection and planning in pedagogical practice.

Experienced specialists Nodira Isamukhamedova, Rosa Ziryanova, Saida Irgasheva, Kamola Alimova, and others attended the training and shared their experiences.

The two-day training will continue its work today, February 25, where issues of best practices in the field of teaching English will be discussed.
