THE TASHKENT BRANCH OF LOMONOSOV MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY CELEBRATED ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

A ceremonial event was held to mark the 20th anniversary of the Tashkent branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kungratbay Sharipov, President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Shavkat Ayupov, heads of leading universities and reputable organizations from Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as representatives of the scientific community and the diplomatic corps.

As noted, the branch was established in 2006 and has, in a short period, become a solid foundation for humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. Today, more than 1,000 students are studying at the branch.

The educational process is organized in accordance with MSU standards, providing students with internationally competitive knowledge and skills. The annual involvement of more than 80 professors from Moscow further contributes to improving the quality of education.

Over the past 20 years, the branch has trained more than 1,500 highly qualified specialists. Today, they are successfully working in public administration, the economy, science, and education, making a significant contribution to the country’s development.

As part of the celebration, a concert program featuring students and artists was organized, and dedicated staff members of the branch were honored on the occasion of the anniversary.

In addition, a tree-planting campaign was held, and a modern tennis court was officially opened.
