On March 13, within the framework of the Third Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, members of the Uzbek delegation visited the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni.

During the visit, the delegation members were familiarized with an exhibition of photographs prepared by university students, as well as samples of handicrafts and embroidery, works by talented young people, and scientific developments of the university’s faculty members. In addition, the guests visited the museum of the Tajik State Pedagogical University and viewed exhibitions dedicated to the history and current activities of the university.

After that, the official opening ceremony of the Third Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took place.

The forum was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kungratbay Sharipov, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Saidzoda Rahim Hamro, responsible representatives of the ministries, as well as senior officials of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The forum was opened with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdulxoliqzoda Lutfia.

In their speeches, the ministers highlighted the effective cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and spoke about the priority goals and strategies defined for the future.
