TOURISM TECHNICAL SCHOOL STUDENTS GAIN OPPORTUNITY TO INTERN IN GERMANY
July 5, 2025For the first time in Uzbekistan, students of technical schools specializing in tourism have been given the opportunity to participate in international internships.
A group of 15 talented students from tourism technical schools in Tashkent, Bukhara, and Khorezm have begun their summer internship at hotels in the city of Sankt Peter-Ording, Federal Republic of Germany.

This initiative is being implemented under a trilateral cooperation agreement signed in January 2025 between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Goethe-Institut, and the Flensburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the agreement, 7 students will intern in Germany in July, followed by 8 more in August. Prior to their internships, the participants studied German at the Goethe-Institut for one year and reached A2–B1 proficiency levels.

This project marks Uzbekistan’s first experience in organizing overseas internships for technical school students and aims to enhance the skills of young professionals and align the vocational education system with international standards.
