UZBEK LANGUAGE LESSONS FOR KOREAN STUDENTS HAVE STARTED

March 3, 2025

Within the framework of fruitful cooperation between Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi and the Korean Center for International Development Cooperation (KIDC), work is consistently underway to popularize the Uzbek language among foreign students and develop cultural ties.

As a result of this cooperation, 13 students who completed intensive distance learning courses in Uzbek in Korea came to Tashkent and continued their studies at TashSUULL.

Uzbek language was taught remotely to students from Korea by specialists of the Uzbek School. Currently, Korean volunteers, along with in-depth study of the Uzbek language, are contributing to the popularization of Korean culture in TashSUULL.

It is worth noting that a meeting of Korean students was held at Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature. Students took part in a face-to-face Uzbek language lesson for the first time. This lesson is taught by the senior teacher of the Uzbek School, Durdona Ermatova. The lessons aim not only to provide grammatical knowledge but also to help students use the Uzbek language in real-life situations.

This project will allow Korean students to study Uzbek in depth, and will also serve to further strengthen cultural ties and friendship between the two peoples. Students studying Uzbek, in turn, share new knowledge and experience with the university team and students, promoting Korean culture.
