UZBEKISTAN AND FINLAND FURTHER STRENGTHEN FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION

At the Kuksaroy Residence, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb held talks with the participation of official delegations from both countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expand multifaceted cooperation, particularly in the political, economic, investment, education, and innovation spheres.

The sides agreed to:

  • enhance trade and investment cooperation and implement joint projects worth over 1 billion euros;
  • establish a Joint Fund for Trade Financing and open certification laboratories;
  • broaden cooperation in energy, geology, agro-industry, digitalization, artificial intelligence, ecology, and tourism;
  • convene the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, as well as promote interregional cooperation;
  • strengthen collaboration in education, healthcare, and labor migration, and organize the first Rectors and Innovation Forum in 2026.

The Presidents also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
