The “Uzbekistan–Malaysia Youth Festival,” dedicated to International Youth Day, was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The event was attended by the university administration, faculty members, students, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Uzbekistan, Ilham Tuah bin Illias.

The festival program featured artistic performances by TSUOS students, Malaysian national dances and songs, as well as creative stage performances in Uzbek and Malay. Winners of the online Malay Language Olympiad were also awarded during the event.

In addition, PhD Nasiba Abduganiyeva, Senior Lecturer of the Higher School of South Asian Languages and Literature of the university, delivered a lecture on “Similarities and Differences Between Uzbek and Malay Folk Tales” for a group of students from Sultan Idris University (Malaysia) and students of the Seri Puteri School in Cyberjaya.
